Bradley Beal’s name continues to be brought up in possible trades that would get Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat to the Phoenix Suns. Beal would have to approve a trade to Miami, or a third team, because he has a full no-trade clause. As he did recently, Beal’s agent Mark Bartelstein reiterated where his client’s focus is.
“Brad’s complete focus is on helping the Suns win, and getting their season turned around,” Bartelstein, who made similar comments to ESPN for a story on Jan. 8, said by phone to The Athletic. “Everything else put out there is nonsense.”
Bartelstein also made it clear that no trade is close that involves Beal, the Suns and the Heat.
The Suns remain Butler’s preferred landing spot. However, a trade to Phoenix remains complicated due to Beal’s no-trade clause and trade restrictions that the Suns are working under as a second apron team.
