The Miami Heat had interest in trading for Julius Randle this past offseason before he was traded by the New York Knicks to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources tell Ian Begley. Randle has also remained on the radar of the Heat as the season has progressed. Randle can be an unrestricted free agent this offseason if he declines his player option.
In 46 games this season, Randle is averaging 18.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 33.0 minutes. The Wolves have a 25-21 record when Randle plays.
Randle is represented by Aaron Mintz and Steven Heumann.
