Next week, the Miami Dolphins and the rest of the league can begin designating franchise or transition players. The last time the Dolphins used the franchise tag was back in 2022 when they tagged tight end Mike Gesicki. Last offseason, the Dolphins could have chosen to use the franchise tag on defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, but elected not to and allowed a talented player to leave the building. Miami does have a player in safety Jevon Holland they could place the franchise tag this offseason. But the question is, will they?
