Tyreek Hill wants to stay with the Miami Dolphins and isn’t a player the team should be worried about, according to the wide receiver’s agent.
“Tyreek is very passionate,” Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said Thursday on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show. “What you see with Tyreek is very genuine. He wants to win. It’s not good enough for him not to make the playoffs. He’s very passionate. I think at the end of the day, he’s committed to this Dolphins football team. He had an excellent meeting with [general manager] Chris Grier and [head coach] Mike McDaniel.
“I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins and he’s the least guy that people should be worried about for this organization. They have many more worries. Tyreek is not one of them.”
Hill, 30, seemingly removed himself in the second half of the Dolphins’ Week 18 game and told reporters after the game “I’m out” and “opening the door” to play elsewhere.
After posting what looked like a goodbye to Miami fans on social media, Hill took inspiration from Antonio Brown on social media before changing his profile picture on X back to a photo of himself in a Dolphins uniform.
On Tuesday, McDaniel told reporters that he spoke with Hill for about an hour Monday and made it clear that “it’s not acceptable to leave a game and won’t be tolerated in the future.” Grier added that Hill never asked for a trade in the meetings, but the general manager also said that the receiver didn’t backtrack from his Sunday comments.
Hill, who dealt with a wrist injury throughout the entire 2024 season, finished the year with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. Hill also missed the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
