Tyreek Hill left a Miami Dolphins practice last week after his home caught fire. The latest episode of Hard Knocks showed the star wide receiver discussing the incident.
Via Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Hill told Dolphins teammates that his Florida mansion in Southwest Ranches was “done.”
“Smoke damage, fire damage,” Hill said. “The whole upstairs is burnt down.”

According to TMZ, the fire caused $2.3 million in property damages. An additional $1 million worth of belongings were ruined.
A police report attributed the fire to a small child playing with a lighter.
“It’s a life adjustment, immediately,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters last week. “That’s your safe place, your home that he is now dealing with … It’s a major stressor for sure. Thankfully, Reek has the support of his family and his teammates. It’s not something that you wish upon anyone. It was definitely scary.”
Hill missed Thursday’s practice after the fire, but he returned Friday and played Sunday. The 29-year-old caught seven of 13 targets for 82 yards and a touchdown in a 21-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
While he fell short of Calvin Johnson’s single-season record, Hill led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards while tying Amon-Ra St. Brown for the league’s second-most catches (119) behind CeeDee Lamb.
Miami ceded control of the AFC East when falling to Buffalo in the final game of the 2023 regular season. As a result, Hill will return to Arrowhead to face his former team in the first round.
The Dolphins play the Kansas City Chiefs in a wild-card matchup on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. The game is only available to stream on Peacock.
