Tyreek Hill may no longer be in Kansas City but the star receiver has nothing bad to say about ex-Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce — except maybe that he’s “underpaid.”
During his recent appearance on “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” with Gillie and Wallo, Miami’s All-Pro receiver talked about Travis’ game and how much respect he has for what he’s been able to accomplish.
I think Kelce like at 14, 15 [million] … Nobody’s Travis Kelce. Nobody’s Patrick Mahomes, either. Those two – they’re just different. They’re gonna be the highest-paid. But obviously, they’re gonna take friendly deals ’cause you know… [They want to] keep the team together.
Hill was then asked if he thinks Kelce is the greatest tight end to ever play.
Of all time? For sure. The greatest tight end that I played with, I will say that. I don’t wanna say nothing else about nobody else’s career. But [from] what I’ve seen and how hard he works in practice, he’s definitely the greatest.
The eight-time Pro Bowler went on to say that he wished the Chiefs would’ve offered him a deal like the one he got from the Dolphins but he isn’t bitter.
I wanted to be in KC, I told them that. I don’t know what it is, man. I believe it’s one of those things like they wanna keep the core guys together. But I think you have a real good team and a real good owner and you guys are winning all of these championships – money’s there bro.
It’s hard to imagine that Hill doesn’t regret not sticking it out with Kansas City at least a little bit. Since leaving the friendly confines of Arrowhead, Cheetah has had to watch his former team win two more Super Bowls without him.
