Tyreek Hill had some thoughts about Travis Kelce’s sideline blowup at head coach Andy Reid during Super Bowl 58 last night.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown tweeted that if he had done what Kelce did, he’d be “kicked out of the league,” which prompted a response from Hill.
“But we know why though right?” Hill said.

When pressed for further explanation by Green Bay Packers offensive lineman David Bakhtiari, Hill said “because he plays in Philly more media attention.”

There were plenty of people in the comments arguing that Hill and Brown were implying that a Black player would have been more harshly criticized for a similar outburst, though Hill downplayed that in a response to one account that made that claim.
“You involved race , so don’t try that buddy,” he wrote.

Whatever Hill’s implication, he went on to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs, his former team, in subsequent tweets.
As for Kelce, he was most definitely out of line for his reaction, particularly for putting his hands on Reid. However, the two men downplayed the altercation after the game.
“They’re passionate players,” Reid told reporters. “I love that, even if they chest bump me to the other side of the 50. I appreciate it. I just love that the guy wants to play and wants to be in there playing.”
Winning back-to-back Super Bowls and three in five years helps cure a lot.
