Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles have spent close to a year trading barbs and are set to finally test their speed against each other.
In a joint interview with People, Hill and Lyles said they’ll meet for a race sometime this spring or summer before the latter competes at the U.S. Championships in July. Details of the contest are all pretty vague, with no date, location, or distance figured out yet. A 60-meter race seems likeliest, though, as Hill pushed for 40 yards in the interview and Lyles countered with a bit of a longer dash.
“I mean if it was 100-meters, it’d be a blowout, you know, we gotta meet in the middle,” Lyles said.
Lyles won the gold medal in the 100-meter at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but he’s no slouch at 60 meters. He won the event at the Boston Indoor Grand Prix with a time of 6.52 seconds and celebrated with a little trolling of Hill.
In 2023, Hill won at the USATF Masters Indoor Championships with a time of 6.70 seconds in the 60-meter.

Last year, the beef kicked up when Hill accused Lyles of faking a COVID diagnosis after the track star finished third in the 200-meter final at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
