Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a gross injury during last Friday’s win over the New York Jets.
A piece of Tagovailoa’s skin came off during the game and it led to his wife getting a little freaked out. In fact, she called the injury “disgusting.”
“They said it was disgusting while they were eating their leftover meals,” Tagovailoa said.
Tua Tagovailoa says his wife was disgusted by piece of skin ripped off his arm during game. Tua jokes he’ll tell his son one day he got it fighting off a shark. He adds:
“It was a nice chunk that came off, so if someone can find that piece it’s yours.” 😳😂

Tagovailoa then confirmed that he was able to get stitches on his skin and that it looks really good now.
He also finished the game and totaled 243 yards through the air, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
The Dolphins are currently 8-3 and continue to lead the AFC East heading into the final six weeks of the regular season.
Their next game will be this Sunday against the Washington Commanders at 1 p.m. ET. It’ll be regionally televised by FOX.
