There was a little bit of controversy with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rings as a typo was discovered on the side of the ring. Next to the seed rankings for their playoff opponents, the Miami Dolphins were listed as the No. 7 seed when they were actually the No. 6 seed.
On the latest edition of the New Heights show, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was asked by his brother Jason about his thoughts on the typo.
Kelce dismissed the significance, pointing out that neither he nor the rest of the team cares about the seeding of the Dolphins. He believes that the mistake only makes the rings more unique, if anything.
“I don’t give a (expletive). I like that we didn’t give a (expletive) about what seed Miami is. (Expletive) it,” he said.
“Yeah they were the seventh. Who cares? They could have done no seeds on the side of it and I would have been fine. I think it makes it more unique… just makes it more exclusive. We screwed up about something that means nothing.”
He’s got a point. In the grand scheme of things it really doesn’t matter what seed the Dolphins were.
The Chiefs won the game and blew Miami out in the process. It was by far the easiest of their four postseason games en route to winning the Super Bowl.
Is the typo on the rings really that big of a deal?
