Our Miami Dolphins enter this week’s game fresh off a three-game win streak. After falling to 3 and 6 in the season, the Phins have the opportunity to get their record back to .500 with a win this evening over the Green Bay Packers. Miami’s resurgence has come off the return of Tua Tagovailoa to the roster after missing four weeks due to a concussion. The Dolphins won their game just four days ago over the New England Patriots in convincing fashion, 34 to 15.
The Packers come into this game with an 8 and 3 record, holding 3rd place in the NFC North. Green Bay has won five of their last six games, including their blowout win last Sunday over the San Francisco 49ers, 38 to 10. The Biggest storyline for this game between these two teams will be the weather. The Packers are very used to playing in cold weather, while the narrative surrounding the Phins is that they fold when the thermometer falls below 40 degrees.

-My Pick: Miami will cover the line. Miami comes into this game as the underdog, which they might not have been had the weather not been below 40 degrees. The weather narrative is driving the line, and thus the betting and the picks by most of the talking heads. While Miami has struggled in the past in some horrible wintery conditions, I don’t believe the cold weather slows down this new edition of the Dolphins ‘ ball-control offense. If the Phins’ defense can keep the Packers’ offense somewhat in check, the Phins will squeak this one out and return home with their playoff hopes still alive.
