Was 2024 Tyreek Hill’s final season with the Miami Dolphins?
Five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill said earlier this week that he wanted to remain with the Miami Dolphins. NFL Network also reported that the franchise doesn’t plan to trade him. Still, it wasn’t enough to prevent trade rumors from surfacing less than a week after Super Bowl 59.

“We saw Tyreek Hill on Friday. I was trying to get him to come to the [New England Patriots] — it wasn’t happening,” The Ringer’s Bill Simmons said on his podcast. “Somebody who was with him was like ‘watch out for the Chargers’ and then walked off.”
This doesn’t confirm that Hill will be dealt, but his end-of-season comments continue to linger—and where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. As Miami looks to bounce back from missing the playoffs in 2024, his future with the franchise will remain under the microscope.
Hill’s 81 receptions and 959 receiving yards were numbers he hadn’t posted since 2019, when he played just 12 games due to a shoulder injury. His six receiving touchdowns matched 2016, his rookie season, for the lowest mark of his career.
The Dolphins haven’t won a playoff game in 25 years, and the franchise—led by general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel—desperately needs to turn the corner. Miami must improve the roster this offseason, but also navigate off-field distractions at a time when stability has never felt more essential.
