Sophie Hall, the influencer suing Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill, is reportedly seeking an immediate jury trial.
Hall, a plus-size model and social media influencer, filed a lawsuit against Hill back in February, alleging “battery, assault and negligence.”
Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 broke the news about Hall pursuing a jury trial on Tuesday.
“The social influencer suing Tyreek Hill, accusing him of breaking her leg, is now asking for an immediate jury trial,” Slater tweeted this morning. “If the judge grants this request, the next available date could be during NFL season. The woman’s attorney says the trial would take 7-10 days.”
In her suit filed in Broward County Court, Hall claims Hill, embarrassed by the fact she stood her ground against him in a football drill at the wide receiver’s house in South Florida last summer, “became enraged and forcefully and purposefully shoved” her, breaking her leg.
The injury reportedly required surgery to repair and multiple months of physical therapy. Hall is seeking up to $75,000 in damages.
Hill’s attorney, Julius B. Collins, responded back in March by claiming the lawsuit was an attempt to “generate bad publicity for Mr. Hill in an attempt to ‘scare tactic’ him into personally covering the cost of Ms. Hall’s medical bills.”
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Hill alleges Hall injured her leg by tripping over a dog while performing the football drill.
