Tyreek Hill remains a game-time decision ahead of Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. The Miami Dolphins could leave the choice up to him.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins plan to let Hill decide if he can play. The NFL’s leading wide receiver missed practice all week after injuring his ankle in Monday night’s loss to the Tennessee Titans.

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported Sunday morning that a pre-game workout will determine whether Hill plays. Trainers still must give him the green light, but a source within the organization expressed optimism that the star wideout will play.
We’re expecting Tyreek Hill pregame workout testing his injured ankle within the next hour to determine if he plays vs. Jets.
I’ve heard early optimism from 1 source on Hill as he chases 2K yards. The Dolphins offense definitely needs him.

Despite getting banged up earlier this season, Hill hasn’t missed time due to injury since hurting his shoulder early in 2019. He’s played every game and averaged 108.4 yards per contest since joining Miami last season.
Sunday’s AFC East matchup could determine whether Hill makes history. The 29-year-old is 422 yards away from Calvin Johnson’s single-season receiving record with four weeks remaining.
Even for Hill, that’d be a lofty tally to reach in three games. Sitting out could also hinder his improbable chances of becoming the first wide receiver ever to win MVP.
Miami is also battling for the AFC’s No. 1 seed while holding off the Buffalo Bills in the division. Yet resting Hill could still make sense for the team’s long-term hopes.
The Dolphins have a relatively firm grasp of a playoff spot, and the Jets represent their only remaining opponent with a losing record. Head coach Mike McDaniel insisted earlier this week that he doesn’t want Hill playing if he’s at risk of worsening the injury.
Time is ticking for Hill and the Dolphins to make a final call before Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.
