The Miami Dolphins‘ 2024 season has ended with a thud. At the beginning of the season, many fans believed that the team had not done enough to threaten the top teams in the league, but most of us still thought that the team would be at least somewhat good. The team would most have likely made it to the playoffs, at the very least, had starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa not intentionally put himself in the way of harm twice, resulting in quite a bit of lost time on the field.
Or maybe we could have made it to the playoffs if the front office had taken the offensive line’s weaknesses seriously instead of stating that they were less worried about them than we fans were. Perhaps, had the team made a concerted effort to sign a reliable backup quarterback before the season, knowing that Tua is injury-prone, things would have gone better. Maybe the team should have made Tua play through his fifth-year option, showing that he could stay on the field for most of the games before giving him a huge chunk of the annual cap the team would have many more options going into the offseason.
Like most every season, this team’s what-ifs are a mile long when all is said and done. Unfortunately, the 2024 season is disappointingly behind us again, so all we can do as diehards is look to the future, hope, pray, and hope some more.
So, with the idea of not looking back, tonight’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is: What is your way too early bold prediction for the upcoming 2025 offseason, season, or both?
