Our Week 17 predictions for the Monday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers.
Week 17 has been full of games with playoff implications. The Monday Night Football conclusion to the week, featuring the Detroit Lions visiting the San Francisco 49ers, is one of the few games that really does not impact the postseason. The NFC playoff picture is fairly well set, with the Lions and Minnesota Vikings set to battle in the Sunday Night Football season finale next week to decide who wins the NFC North and claims the top seed in the conference. Tonight’s game does not change anything about next week’s game.
The 49ers have been eliminated from the playoffs and are only playing for pride this weekend. It has been a disappointing season for San Francisco, who are 6-9 and in last place in the NFC West. How will a team with nothing to play for look on a primetime game?
We will find out when the Lions and 49ers kickoff at 8:15 p.m. Eastern. There is just one game tonight, with both ABC and ESPN handling the broadcast.
What are the latest FanDuel sportsbook odds?
