The Miami Dolphins beat their AFC East rivals, the New York Jets in Week 14. How are the fans feeling about the team as Week 15 starts?
The Miami Dolphins, coming off a Week 14 win over the New York Jets, head to Texas on Sunday to face the Houston Texans. Back on Thanksgiving, the Dolphins had been looking to kill the narrative that the team cannot play in the cold, but all they did was reinforce that storyline. This week, they have another chance to kill some narratives as they face a winning Texans team, looking to prove they can win against teams with winning records, and they play in a place they have never won, sitting at 0-5 all-time against the Texans in Houston.
How do fans feel about the 6-7 Dolphins as we head into Week 15? It is time to take a look at the fan confidence rating for Miami as they hope to turn a win over the Jets into back-to-back wins with a victory over the Texans.
Our SB Nations Reacts poll, brought to us by FanDuel sportsbook, examines how the fans feel about the Dolphins’ direction in Week 15.
Are the Miami Dolphins headed in the right direction? – Week 15 results
The win over the Jets not only keeps the Dolphins in the AFC playoff picture, but it also continues a streak of home wins over their rivals, a streak that dates back to 2015. It is always a good feeling when Miami can beat New York, no matter what else is happening during the season. With that win, how are the fans feeling about the Dolphins?
Ahead of the game, our SB Nation Reacts poll had just 19 percent of the fans feeling confident that the team was headed in the right direction. After the victory, that number jumped back to up almost a 50/50 split. According to the poll this week, 48 percent of the fans are feeling good about Miami’s direction.

Dolphins opponent fan confidence: Houston Texans
Houston began the 2024 season with five wins over the first six weeks of the year, jumping out to a fast start for the year. Over the past eight weeks, they have come back down to Earth, however, winning just three of their seven games during that span. As they come off their bye week, the Texans will be looking to hold on to their two-game lead in the AFC South division title race.
Houston has dominated Miami since joining the league in 2002. They won the first seven meetings between the clubs and are 8-3 all time. That includes a 5-0 record when the Dolphins visit Houston. How will this weekend’s game play out?
Texans fans began the season with a near-perfect fan confidence rating of 99 percent, believing the team was headed in the right direction in Weeks 1 and 2. It dropped to 76 percent in Week 5, but jumped back up to 98 percent by Week 7. The low-point of the season came in Week 13, when just 32 percent of the fans said they thought the team was headed in the right direction. This week, it has climbed to 70 percent feeling positive about Houston.
