Our Miami Dolphins enter the last week of the 2024 NFL season, still hoping to make the playoffs. Last week, they kept their narrow chances alive by defeating the Cleveland Browns despite being without their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa. The formula for the Dolphins to get into the playoffs this season is straightforward: Miami must beat the New York Jets today, and the Denver Broncos must lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.
While that sounds simple, the Dolphins will be without their starting quarterback again today. Miami may also be without a handful of other offensive starters for today’s game. In addition, the Chiefs would typically be a big favorite to defeat the Broncos, but Kansas City is already locked into its playoff standing and, thus, will likely be sitting many of its key starters. On the other hand, the Broncos will be fighting for their chance to make it to the playoffs.
