“We’ll be excited to see him when doctors deem it appropriate for him to fly,” coach Mike McDaniel said Monday. “I’d also like to commend the collective training staff – both ours and the Texans’ and the doctors involved for handling a situation as they did.”
DuBose was injured while trying to catch a pass over the middle of the field when Texans safety Calen Bullock delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit, which resulted in a 15-yard penalty. Sunday was DuBose’s first game back after missing 11 games due to a shoulder injury.
Jaylen Waddle avoids serious injury
Starting wide receiver Jaylen Waddle played 26 snaps Sunday before exiting with a leg injury. He couldn’t return in the 20-12 loss but is considered day-to-day entering Week 16.
“Not major, not surgery-related; but in question for this week, kind of day-to-day on knee but avoided anything serious,” McDaniel said.
An unfortunate injury days after releasing Odell Beckham Jr., sixth-round rookie Malik Washington was forced into extended action — closing the afternoon with a game-high 52 receiving yards on five receptions.
