It looks like we can add LeBron James to the growing list of people defending a cameraman who was controversially suspended by the NFL.
Taking to his Instagram Story this week, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar admonished the NFL for suspending Kevin Fitzgibbons after he enabled Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s touchdown celebration earlier this season.
“Man this is F’d UP!!!” he wrote, per TMZ.
“Suspended for the year and possibly for good! C’mon NFL! Do better! S- ain’t that serious.”

The incident occurred in the October 15 game between the Dolphins and Carolina Panthers. After scoring a touchdown, Hill found Fitzgibbons and borrowed his phone then took a selfie of himself while doing a backflip.
Hill was penalized and later fined for using a prop to assist his celebration. But Fitzgibbons saw his credentials taken away for the remainder of the season and faces permanent revocation.
Fitzgibbons has since expressed understanding for the decision and offered gratitude for the opportunity to work the sidelines.Â
Hill, meanwhile, has declined to comment out of concern for being fined even more.
