Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders was recognized by the league for his November performance.
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders was recognized this week as the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November, rewarding him for a strong performance throughout Week 9 through 13 of the 2024 season. Sanders was a perfect 10-for-10 on field goals during the month, along with a perfect 13-for-13 on extra-point attempts. He converted three field goals from 50 yards or further during the month.
His 43 points scored were the most by any player in the league in November.
This marks the fourth career Player of the Month award for Sanders, the most by any special teams player in Dolphins history. He first won the award in December 2019, followed by wins in October and November 2020. He is just the eighth player in league history to win the Special Teams Player of the Month for either conference award four times.
Sanders is the most accurate field goal kicker in Dolphins history, converting on 83.5 percent of his field goal attempts. Since entering the league in 2018, Sanders ranks third in extra point accuracy, with his 97.3 percent just behind Denver Broncos kicker Will Lutz (98 percent) and Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker (97.4 percent). Sanders has converted on 75 straight extra-point attempts, the longest active streak in the league.
This was the first Player of the Month award for a Dolphins player this season. The most recent award recipient for Miami was an AFC Offensive Player of the Month award for wide receiver Tyreek Hill in October 2023.
