The Miami Dolphins added some firepower to their offense this Friday, signing former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contract.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Beckham’s deal is worth up to $8.25 million. Apparently, he received a strong offer from a different team.
After Beckham’s contract was announced, Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey offered his initial reaction to the move.
Ramsey posted photos of him and Beckham on social media along with this caption: “You remember what happened last time O?”
When Beckham was teammates with Ramsey in 2021, the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl. The former All-Pro wideout had 26 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns during the postseason.
This social media post is Ramsey’s way of saying the Dolphins have what it takes to win the Super Bowl next season. On paper, it’s hard to argue against that.
Beckham’s days of being a No. 1 option on offense are over. Last season, he had 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the Baltimore Ravens.
Luckily for Beckham, he doesn’t have to be a dominant force. The Dolphins already have two stars at wide receiver in Tyreek Hill and Jayden Waddle.
