Former All-Pro cornerback Xavien Howard is facing some very serious allegations in a lawsuit that has been filed against him.
According to the Miami Herald, a new court filing in the Broward Circuit Court alleges that Howard sent sexually explicit content to a minor of their mother after the mother refused to get an abortion. The filing was made by a John Doe who was a minor when Howard got their mother pregnant in 2022.
Per the report, Howard had the boy’s number and would send the explicit content to them. The boy’s mother was able to delete the content from the phone before he could see them, but later discovered the images via his iCloud account.
“Howard’s conduct was outrageous, went beyond all boundaries of decency, and it is and was regarded as odious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community,” the filing says.
The filing requests that the then-minor be permitted to sue Howard in an ongoing case relating to him sharing other sexually explicit content without consent. The judge in the case has yet to rule on whether to permit this.
Speaking to the Miami Herald, attorney Adriana Alcalde for John Doe called the alleged behavior “abhorrent.”
“This behavior is abhorrent, especially sending this to a child,” Alcalde said.
Howard played for the Dolphins from 2016 to 2023, earning four Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro selections. He led the league in interceptions in 2018 and 2020.
