The Miami Dolphins are dealing with some untimely injuries entering this weekend’s playoff matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Linebackers Jerome Baker and Andrew Van Ginkel were both hurt in Sunday night’s 21-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and the updates today are not good for either player.
NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported Monday that Baker had wrist surgery and is unavailable for Saturday’s Wild Card Game and likely the rest of the playoffs should the Dolphins advance.
As for Van Ginkel, who injured his foot against the Bills, the veteran pass rusher is also out Saturday and likely for the entire postseason.
Miami was already dealing with injuries to cornerback Xavien Howard and safety Jevon Holland on defense, as well as running back Raheem Mostert and wide receiver Jaylen Waddle on offense.
Dolphins LB Jerome Baker had wrist surgery and he’s been ruled out for Chiefs game Saturday + likely rest of playoffs. Same for Andrew Van Ginkel with foot injury out Saturday and likely rest of postseason.
More key defensive starters lost for Miami.
