Fantasy football owners received unfortunate news Friday morning regarding Dolphins running back De’Von Achane.
Achane aggravated his knee injury last weekend against the Raiders. That injury forced him to go on injured reserve earlier this season.
Even though Achane dodged a major injury in Week 11, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Dolphins won’t have their rookie tailback at their disposal this afternoon against the Jets.
“I’m told he’s not expected to go,” Pelissero said. “He was able to test it out. This is not a long-term injury. It just didn’t quite feel right. It’s going to be a lot of Raheem Mostert and some Jeff Wilson for the Dolphins today against the Jets.”

When healthy, Achane has been outstanding for the Dolphins. The talented playmaker from Texas A&M has 461 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 39 carries this season.
It’s possible Achane returns to action on Dec. 3 against the Commanders. In the meantime, the Dolphins will need Mostert to lead their backfield.
