The Miami Dolphins put together one of their more complete performances of the year in a 29-17 win against the San Francisco 49ers.
While the Miami offense could’ve punched in more opportunities rather than settle for five field goals, it avoided turnovers, only punted twice, and racked up its most yardage since Week 1. The Dolphins defense bent plenty Sunday, allowing 374 yards of offense, but got stops when it mattered most and held the 49ers to just two touchdowns and a field goal on five red zone trips.
The Dolphins still need plenty of help to get into the playoffs after their victory in their Hard Rock Stadium finale. But it was a good sign that Miami hasn’t thrown in the towel on its season.
