It’s safe to say that Kansas City Chiefs fans are going to hold on to Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills for a long time after the way their winning play was nullified by a penalty.
One Chiefs fan is going the extra mile to call out the officiating for their decision-making on the fateful penalty on Kadarius Toney that wiped out their game-winning touchdown play. The Chiefs Kingdom Memes account on X showed a side-by-side comparison between the Toney play and a play involving a Miami Dolphins wide receiver who was in a similar position that did not get called for a penalty.
On its face, it’s a compelling argument, but is one major issue that users in the comments were quick to note. Specifically, the Dolphins wide receiver was behind the ball and therefore not offsides.
Additionally, the “line” that broadcast cameras use is not always accurate to the exact position of the ball. It’s generated based on an approximate location, not a hard and fast rule.
As a result, fans have been ripping the account for being a little bit of a sore loser:

“Miami receiver is behind the ball (you didn’t show that) the line on TV is not the official line. Cope,” one user replied.
“A missed call can be cited anywhere… Does not negate a correct call,” wrote another.
“Look where the ball is at. It’s not rocket science,” a third wrote.
Are Chiefs fans getting too bent out of shape over the call?
