Miami is still the lone undefeated team in Florida. Let’s discuss the Week 6 Power Rankings.
Whew, who expected THAT kind of weekend in College Football? Week 6 saw juggernaut’s conquered and cardiac comebacks. The Florida teams endured upsets and comebacks and didn’t disappoint. I’m here to offer an unbiased ranking of the state of Florida college football teams. This analysis is based off of the eye test, the records of each program, and a little expectation for what’s to come.
No sugar coating, so let’s dive in!
FBS Programs in the State of Florida: 7 (Florida Atlantic Owls, Florida Gators, Florida International Panthers, Florida State Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, South Florida Bulls, and University of Central Florida Knights)
1: Miami Hurricanes – Next Game 10/19 @ Louisville 12:00pm ABC / ESPN+
Ranking: Associated Press – 6 (1187) Votes, AFCA Coaches Poll – 6 (1085) Votes
Miami engineered one of the more improbable comebacks after playing poorly in the first half against Cal and finding themselves down by 25 points in the 3rd quarter. The Canes are off this week and travel to Louisville to face-off against a high scoring Cardinals team.
The nation’s #️⃣1️⃣ offense resides in south Florida.

2: UCF Knights – Next Game 10/12 vs Cincinnati 3:30pm ESPN2
Ranking: Associated Press – Unranked (0) Votes, AFCA Coaches Poll – Unranked (0) Votes
The Knights dropped their second game in a row, and Florida looked better prepared than usual. Not much of a fight in this one, but Florida showed UCF that they are NOT part of the Big 3.

3: Florida Gators – Next Game – 10/12 @ Tennessee @ 7:00 PM ESPN

The Gators are coming off of back to back wins and will face an angry Vols team that was riding high at number 1 until being upset last week. This game shouldn’t even be close, but UF always plays UT hard. I said that last week’s game would very well may be the last winnable game on Florida’s schedule this season, and I meant that. W to Vols nation.

This week the Bulls have Memphis rolling into Tampa Bay behind Hurricane Milton. The game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa has been rescheduled from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. Hoping the team is able to manage the disruption that’s impacted millions of Floridians.
The USF-Memphis football game will not be played on Friday evening.
For now, it has been rescheduled for Saturday at 3:30pm.
We will assess the conditions & overall situation after the storm has passed to determine if any further adjustments are necessary.…
