Saturday’s game between Miami and Florida State saw Hurricanes freshman quarterback Emory Williams go down with horrible arm injury while diving for a first down.
Williams remained down for several minutes before eventually being carted off the field in an air cast on his left arm. On ABC’s broadcast, sideline reporter Molly McGrath shared what she saw and heard as Williams writhed on the ground in pain.
I’m right next to Emory Williams, I can hear him loudly crying in pain and [Miami’s] training staff was looking at his left arm and left wrist area and they had to cut off his play-call wristband. Now they’re putting an air cast on that left arm. So it’s not looking good for Emory Williams.

You have to feel for Williams who laid it all out there in Miami’s comeback attempt. Injuries are obviously the worst part of any sport and you never want to see anyone go down like this.
Sadly, the team couldn’t mount a comeback with such little time to play and lost to their ACC rivals 27-20.
Here’s to wishing the Canes QB a speedy recovery.
