Jalil Bethea, the 6-foot-4, 5-star guard from Archbishop Wood (PA) and Team Final, took his third official visit to Miami this past weekend.
“He loved the visit and connected with Coach L and the players and Philadelphia guy Wogga [Poplar],” Wood coach John Mosco said.
“He liked the way that they are going to use him and off the ball.”
Meantime, Villanova head coach Kyle Neptune (Monday), Syracuse coach Red Autry (Tuesday) and Kansas coach Bill Self (Wednesday) along with a Miami assistant (Wednesday) are due in this week.
Bethea is still slated to visit Syracuse (Sept. 15) and Alabama (Sept. 22).
“Jalil is an efficient 3-level scorer who plays well in a team or one-on-one concept,” said Mosco. “He can score in bunches. He has been working on defense and being a complete player. One of his underlying strengths is his passing and getting everyone involved.”
