Miami Hurricanes legend and Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin has been a special guest on the sidelines for today’s big game against Louisville. But as the ABC cameras continue to pan to the charismatic football legend, fans have had enough.
Miami and Louisville have been in a heated, back-and-forth game for the last few hours ABC has frequently shifted over to Irvin, who has been having a wild time on the sidelines hyping up his players. He certainly didn’t have a negative effect as Miami finally put the game away in a 52-45 slugfest.

Fans, on the other hand, quickly had enough of it. By midway through the game ABC was getting criticized for showing him on the broadcast so much. Some fans compared ABC’s treatment of Irvin to the NFL broadcasts’ frequently showing of Taylor Swift on their games:
“I know Michael Irvin is a diehard Canes fan but being on the sideline actin a fool and panning the camera on him is insane lmaooo Let these kids have their shining moment and not make it about u,” one user wrote.
“Michael Irvin is officially the Taylor Swift of college football,” wrote another.
“Tired of seeing Michael Irvin after every Miami big play,” a third wrote.

Irvin probably won’t be stopping anytime soon now that his Hurricanes are a very respectable 7-0 and looking like one of the top teams in all of college football. Quarterback Cam Ward is looking like a Heisman Trophy frontrunner and could be just the third in school history.
