Jeff Goodman has made his selection for the most disappointing team in men’s college basketball this season.
Goodman put Miami at the top of his disappointing teams this season and it’s not hard to see why.
Miami came into this season with NCAA Tournament expectations but the program hasn’t come close to achieving that goal.
Jim Larranaga’s program is currently 15-18 overall and is in 14th place in the ACC standings.
It looked like it was going to be a great 2023-24 season for the Hurricanes after they won 11 of their first 13 games but have only won four games since then.
Miami will try and end the regular season at 16-18 against Florida State on Saturday before playing in the ACC Tournament next week.
Larranaga will have to really work the transfer portal during the offseason to get the team back to the NCAA Tournament.
He’s been the head coach of the program for the last 13 seasons and just led Miami to the Final Four last year. He’s also led Miami to the NCAA Tournament six times during his tenure.
Before he landed at Miami, he coached at George Mason and Bowling Green State.
