Miami vs. Florida could be the best game on the 2024 college football Week 1 schedule.
Georgia vs. Clemson, Texas A&M vs. Notre Dame, LSU vs. USC and plenty of others should be good, too, of course. But few games, if any, will have the local rivalry and intensity aspect that the Hurricanes vs. the Gators will have.
Ahead of kickoff, a “bombshell” Miami Hurricanes fan is going viral on social media. She used to date former Ohio State and Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tate Martell.
The stunning Miami Hurricanes fan has a huge following on social media. She has more than two million followers on Instagram.
Passo has been trending on social media throughout the summer, leading up to kickoff against Florida on Saturday.
Longtime college football reporter Andy Staples is among those extremely pumped for the game, too.
“It is so fascinating Paul, because it does not matter what the outcome is. There’s a scalding take to come from it and I keep trying to figure out the best name for this thing,” Andy Staples told Paul Finebaum this week. “I’ve called it the pitchforks and torches bowl, now I’m leaning toward the I don’t have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun you bowl.”
Florida and Miami are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. E.T. on Saturday afternoon.
The game will air on ESPN.
